Thomas "Tom" Matthews is an English defender who played for South Melbourne in the Victorian Premier League.
Primarily a full-back, Matthews joined South Melbourne from Bentleigh Greens midway through the 2011 season.[1]
Matthews was one of several players released from the club during mid-2013 clean-out which preceded the departure of Peter Tsolakis as senior coach.[2] After leaving South, Matthews returned to Bentleigh Greens,[3] later playing for Geelong[4] and Oakleigh Cannons.[5]
Prior to joining South, Matthews had been a Hull City youth team player, and later played for Boston United.[6]
