Steven O'Dor was a central defender who spent several seasons at South Melbourne during the Victorian Premier League era.

O'Dor was one of the defensive mainstays of South Melbourne's first years back in Victorian Premier League following the demise of the National Soccer League. But his long tenure at the club also saw him miss most of the 2006 championship season due to being with the Australian Institute of Sport, and his two stints in the A-League - one each with New Zealand Knights and Wellington Phoenix - also broke that South Melbourne continuity.

O'Dor had been a member of South's National Youth League squad in 2003/04, including scoring in the final which that side lost to Canberra Deakin.[1] Following the end of that season, and with South not playing senior football for the remainder of 2004 O'Dor joined Fitzroy City.

O'Dor made his debut for South in round 1, 2005.[2] O'Dor only managed three games in 2006, before being called up to the Australian Institute of Sport, and then the New Zealand Knights. O'Dor returned to South in 2007, then joined up with Wellington Phoenix before cutting his tenure there short in order to return to Australia to complete his legal degree.

O'Dor won the club's best and fairest award in 2008, was appointed vice-captain in 2009 and 2010, and was made captain by Eddie Krncevic for the 2011 season, a role he kept in 2012.[3]

O'Dor retired from soccer at the end of 2012 due to increased work commitments,[4] though he played at least some games for lower league Mazenod United, whom he began coaching.
