Goalkeeper Sebastian Mattei was signed to South Melbourne for the 2013 season, primarily as a back up to Peter Gavalas, but did not make any appearances for the club before being released mid-season.[1]
Mattei had previously been with the Australian Institute of Sport[2], Melbourne Knights[3], Melbourne Victory, as well as Heidelberg United and Richmond - the last two within the opening three rounds of the 2012 Victorian Premier League season.[4]
