Nathan Caldwell is a retired forward who played with South Melbourne from 2007-2010, although his last two seasons at South saw him play no games due to recovering from a knee injury which ultimately ended his career.

Scoring on debut against Richmond, he would thereafter fail to find any sort of consistency. His career was effectively ended during a 2009 Hellenic Cup semi-final against Oakleigh Cannons, when former South defender Robbie Wynne crudely tackled Caldwell from behind.[1] Despite being retained on the playing roster, Caldwell never played for South again.

Prior to joining South, in 2004 Caldwell had been part of Canberra Deakin's National Youth League championship team, which had defeated South Melbourne 2-1 in the grand final.[2]
