Jesse Krcnevic, the son of Socceroo and two time South coach Eddie Krncevic, was a striker who had two stints at South Melbourne Hellas. His first, in 2005, saw him come off the bench in all but one of his twelve appearances[1] for the club. Jesse Krncevic returned to South in late 2010, following Richmond's grand final loss, arriving in time to play in the Singapore Cup campaign at the start of his father's second stint as coach.[2]

Jesse Krncevic's 2011 season was both successful and derailed by controversy. He was sent off and suspended for several weeks following a behind the scenes incident away against Hume, and missed several more weeks when abuse he directed towards Heidelberg goalkeeper Griffin McMaster was interpreted as being directed to the referee. Nevertheless his goal scoring return was admirable, but in a tight season those absences may have made the difference towards achieving the minor premiership and the overall championship.

After his father left South at the end of the 2011 season, Jesse Krncevic moved to Oakleigh Cannons, and eventually stepped away from the higher levels of the game.
