Quite how long Ljubo Milicevic's 2011 'short term' stint at Lakeside was meant to last remains unclear[1]; what did become clear is that after a promising start to his time as a South Melbourne player, the former Socceroo's presence at the club rapidly became untenable for both player and club. All up Milicevic played eight league matches[2] and one cup game[3] for South, before heading to Europe to try his luck.
It wouldn't be the last time Milicevic had an impact at South Melbourne however; while playing for Melbourne Knights against South at Lakeside in round 9, 2013, Milicevic would score an own goal to level the scores at 2-2.
