The Australia Day Cup, intended to be played for in perpetuity, lasted only one match.

The Australia Day Cup was a trophy awarded to the winner of an annual fixture played between South Melbourne Hellas and Perth Glory on Australia Day.[1] Intended to be a perpetual trophy, the two sides played for the cup just one time, in round 21 of the 2003/04 National Soccer league season, a game which finished 0-0.
