South Melbourne Hellas' first season saw the club win the championship and promotion to the Victorian State League in a canter. The side went undefeated - its only blemish being a 3-3 draw with Corio - while scoring twice as many goals the next best team, while conceding only 11.

South Melbourne Hellas entered its inaugural Dockerty Cup during the second round, progressing all the way to the semi-finals, losing to Hakoah 2-0 in an incident packed affair.
